How to Use the KwiqPass Ticket Scanner (Organizer Guide) #
Welcome to the official guide for scanning tickets using the KwiqPass App. This guide walks you through each step to ensure a smooth check-in process at your event. Whether you’re new to the platform or need a refresher, follow the steps below to get started.
Step 1: Download the KwiqPass App #
Make sure you have the KwiqPass App installed on your mobile device. Itβs available on both:
Step 2: Access Entry Mode #
There are two ways to enter Entry Mode depending on whether you’re logged in:
a) If You’re NOT Logged In: #
-
Open the app.
-
On the main screen where it says Sign In or Create Account, tap the QR Code Icon (Bottom).
-
This will open a screen asking you for a 6-Digit Admin Code.
b) If You’re Already Logged In: #
-
Tap the Me tab (bottom navigation).
-
Scroll down and select Admin Login.
-
Enter the 6-Digit Admin Code provided to your event team.
Step 3: Allow Camera Access #
Once the 6-digit code is entered, a prompt will appear asking for Camera Permissions.
Be sure to tap Allow, as the camera is needed to scan QR codes on tickets.
Step 4: Scanning Tickets #
Youβre now in Entry Mode:
-
The camera will open automatically.
-
Position the QR code from the ticket in front of the camera.
-
When scanned, ticket details will appear on-screen.
You will see two options:
-
Cancel β does not scan the ticket.
-
Check In (Green Button) β validates the ticket and marks it as used.
Once the ticket is checked in, it cannot be reused.
If someone tries to re-enter with the same ticket, theyβll get a red error screen that says the ticket was already scanned.
After checking in, the camera will automatically reopen for the next scan.
Manual Scan Trigger #
If youβre on the ticket screen and want to open the camera again, tap the Orange Scan Button to continue scanning.
Android Camera Tip #
Some Android phones may switch to Horizontal/Landscape Mode when the camera opens. If this happens:
-
Simply rotate your phone horizontally and align the QR code accordingly.
-
This is normal behavior for some Android devices.
Settings in Entry Mode #
Tap the Settings Icon in Entry Mode to access:
-
Bluetooth, Auto Check-In, and VOID β Leave these OFF (theyβre for third-party hardware).
-
Scan History β View a list of all scanned tickets.
-
Logout β Exit Entry Mode.
Once your 6-digit code is entered, it will remember it next time unless you log out manually.
Notes & Best Practices #
-
You can exit and reopen the app at any time β your session will stay active unless you log out.
-
Never share your Admin Code publicly.
-
Always ensure you have stable internet or data access for syncing.
